I was going to post the pictures once I was all done but can't wait.
It is my first time designing a dress from scratch, sewing (my mom helped me she's a sewer), etc.
Everything was done by hand, the fringe, buttons, bodice etc. I still have to do the back and finish the beaded circles around the bottom of the skirt. The pictures do not do it justice; but hope you enjoy. I'm sure I do not have to tell you what dress I am re-creating.

Also I finally down loaded my Halloween pictures

Glad you like it so far. I have done a lot of research on the dress. All the materials and fabrics are acurate to the movie original. I plan on making all her dresses now. The next one will be the flying gown. I have all the materials just have to finish the pattern. I am also going to make the dark purple blue dress from star wars. It is very similar to a felicity pattern and I have all the doll patterns to start from.
It has been fun getting the fabrics. They sure use beautiful fabrics on movie costumes all silk of course but with it being for a doll you don't need much.
I will definitly post pictures when I'm done.

It is beautiful! Please don't think I am crazy, but I don't know what dress you are trying to recreate. Hints...

Thank heavens, I was feeling like an onlooker at the parade of the Emperor's New Clothes. I don't know which dress you're recreating either, but I think it's because I'm not familiar with the original?
